In December 2004, Engr. & Mrs. Rodulfo Niere, together with their sister Lilia N. Pabalate, visited their relatives in Digos City to see the community development work of CRC/Sowers International. Engr. Rodulfo Niere has been the Chairman of the Board of Sowers International for several years.
They had experienced the love and care of the Lord while in the Good Shepherd’s Fold Orphanage in Buenavista, Guimaras Province, and they had long desired to establish an orphanage as a token of their gratitude to the Lord.

On December 2004, two exciting things happened: the desire of Fiilipino Americans, Rodulfo and Violeta Niere, to establish an orphanage and the burden of Philip and Jo Pabalate (the local stewards of Sowers International-Philippines) to give orphans and abandoned children in depressed villages in the Southern Philippines a brighter future.
The Nieres’ declared their intent to allow CRC/Sowers International-Philippines to use their property in Digos for an orphanage and also finance the construction of the orphanage building out of Mrs. Violeta Niere’s retirement benefits. Mrs. Niere had worked as a nurse in the States for many years.
Mrs. Jo Pabalate was tasked to write the project proposal for the orphanage to be sent to the leadership of Sowers International (SI) for approval. The project proposal was submitted to the leadership in mid 2005. The proposal was then approved by SI Executive Director, Gwynn Lewis and SI Southeast Asia Director, Rev. Romeo Niere.
Construction began in November of 2005 under the supervision of Engr. Philip N. Pabalate. The orphanage building was dedicated to the Lord on June 24, 2006. The first batch of children were admitted to the orphanage the following day. Thus the fulfillment of the vision! Glory to God!
